The Surface Transportation Board (STB)
surveys all non-waybill reporting railroads terminating traffic in
the United States to determine whether they meet the reporting
requirements for inclusion in the Annual Carload Waybill Survey.
Our regulations at 49 CFR 1244.2(f) require that railroads not
otherwise submitting waybill information must report annually the
number of carloads terminated by State for the last calendar
year.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
