owners and repair shops. For future reference: only the cost
burdens in excess of the wage value should be listed in answer to
question 13 of the supporting statement. The wage value of the hour
burden should be included in the answer to question 12 but not
entered on form 83-I. The draft forms do not include a place for
the expiration date of the OMB approval. The expiration date must
be included on the forms to be used.

accompanies a final rule exempting motor vehicle dealers and repair
businesses from the statutory prohibition against making
federally-required safety equipment inoperative so that they may
install retrofit manual cutoff switches for airbags in vehicles
owned by or used by persons in specified risk groups.
