Abstract: The intermodal equipment inventory provides aggregate data about U.S.-based companies that own or lease intermodal equipment. The data is essential to both Government and industry for use in planning for contingency operations. The information is used to assist military logistics planners for national emergencies. The respondents are U.S.-owned shipping companies and U.S.-based leasing companies.
