continue to develop an overall data collection strategy for the
IDEA program. ED further agrees that it will update OMB on its work
with States, advocacy groups, and others to revise data collection
under the new law. ED agrees that, in the future, it will submit
all relevant forms under IDEA in one comprehensive clearance
package.

This package provides instructions and
forms necessary for States to report the number of children with
disabilities served under IDEA-B receiving special education and
related services. It serves as the basis for distributing Federal
assistance, monitoring, implementing, and congressional
reporting.
