Abstract: The final rule calls for applicants and petitioners to submit environmental information to FDA in the form of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), or claims for categorical exclusion. It will reduce the number of NEPA evaluations and streamline the FDA's procedures for obtaining approval.
