Abstract: The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (P.L. 104-193) allows tribal grantees to use Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grant awards for construction and renovation of child care facilities. A tribal grantee must first request and receive approval from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) before using CCDF funds for construction or major renovation.
