Public assistance grants are awarded
to States eligible for Federal disaster assistance. FEMA regulation
44 CFR part 13 Uniform Requirements for Grant and Cooperative
Agreements to State and Local Governments places certain
requirements on the State in its role as grantee for the public
assistance program, which includes monitoring and reporting
program/project performance. States are required to submit progress
reports quarterly.
