Abstract: This information collection is necessary to disperse funds to local education agencies (LEAs) in accordance with Section 386 of Public Law 102-484, as amended by Section 372 of Public Law 104-201. In order to establish eligibility and calculate payments, DOD relies on data furnished by the Department of Education and information provided through an application filed by the LEA. Respondents are approximately 127 LEAs in which over 20% of the students are federally connected or which have experienced at least a 20% reduction in the federally connected students enrolled.
