of information is approved through April 30, 2000 However, this
approval only covers the four studies outlined in the justification
statement. If FERC wishes to do more studies of electronic
submission, it must either submit a separate ICR or submit an
amendment to this collection that describes the methodology and
target population of such a study.

FERC-597A is a generic clearance for
pretests/pilot studies, surveys and questionnaires to be conducted
on the electronic submission of data. Studies/surveys will include
electronic transmission of data, telephone and electronic mail
interviews used to improve data processes.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
