Regulation Z (Truth-in-Lending Law 12
C.F.R. 226) requires accurate disclosure of the costs and terms of
credit to consumers, including both open-end credit and closed-end
credit. It also imposes advertising disclosure requirements and
establishes billing error resolution procedures. It requires
companies to keep records sufficient to show compliance with the
rule. Burden hours are only for FTC regulated companies.
