OMB approves
this package as amended by the October 31, 1996, memorandum.
Specifically, NSF will continue to develop a Web- based data
collection system for use with this survey, meeting with the
contractor in late 1996 and with an agency advisory group in early
1997 to address the technical problems that arose during previous
consideration. NSF will also continue to work with the Council of
Graduate Schools to develop a single survey on graduate students,
addressing problems due to different data needs and sampling
frames, and private sector involvement.
