We use the survey to gather
establishment level data from multiestablishment companies in the
United States. These data are used for the updating and maintenance
of the Standard Statistical Establishment List (SSEL). The SSEL
provides a standard basis for assigning industrial classification
codes of establishments engaged in all areas of economic activity
and a single universe for the selection and maintenance of
statistical samples of establishments, legal entities, or
enterprises.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
