continued through 11/97. In preparing the final rule DOL shall
address the following issues: 1. DOL will give the public
opportunity to comment on Section ----.731 (b)(1) regarding public
burden. 2. DOL will give the public opportunity to comment on
Section ----.731 (b)(2) and Appendix A regarding burden hour
estimates for recordkeeping requirements. 3. DOL will respond to
public comments, including those received by OMB and forwarded to
DOL, regarding ways to minimize burden, maximize utility and
prevent duplication by revising the rule as appropriate or
providing justification as to why such revisions were not
made.

permit DOL to meet its statutory responsibilities.
