The regulations in 9 CFR 92 prohibit
or restrict the importation of certain animals into the United
States to prevent the introduction of communicable diseases such as
Foot and Mouth disease. This change will prohibit the importation
of hedgehogs from countries affected with FMD. This change will
also require certification from countries free of FMD before the
hedgehogs will be allowed into the United States.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
