Abstract: Outdoor recreation is woven into the fabric of American life, providing multiple values to individuals, families, communities, and to society. Data from NSRE will be used to determine outdoor recreation trends, predict future demand for outdoor recreation opportunities, estimate the values of recreation, guide policymakers, planners, and managers in land management decisions.
