As indicated in
OSHA's May 1995 report, "The New OSHA," the agency will undertake a
general consolidation of duplicative elements across current
standards, including the MDA Construction Industry standard. This
consolidation will include regulatory provisions for training
programs, maintenance of records, monitoring of risk exposure, and
medical surveillance.
