This information
collection request is approved under the follow- ing conditions:
OASH complies with all aspects of the collection effort as
described in the revised submission; revised language will replace
the language in the specified sections;and the study will only
proceed with a response rate in each of the supgroups (findings of
no misconduct versus misconduct) at or above 50%. Analysis of
information for misconduct subjects will not proceed if the
responses fall below 30. OASH revised the language in specific
sections of the submission to reflect the descriptive rather than
scientific nature of the collection. Any characteri- zation of this
effort will indicate the substantial limitations of the
information. The new title of the collection will be "Description
of Perceived Consequences of Being Accused of Scientific
Misconduct".

reputation of those when allegations not confirmed. This survey
will provide background information to assure institutional
compliance with regulation and other information.
