Abstract: THE COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT OF 1977 REQUIRES THE OTS TO ASSESS AND EVALUATE THE EFFORTS OF SAVINGS ASSOCIATIONS TO MEET THE CREDIT NEEDS THEIR COMMUNITIES, INCLUDING LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED WILL HELP THE OTS ASSESS SAVINGS ASSOCIATION RECORD OF HELPING TO MEET THE CREDIT NEEDS OF THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
