the agency ensures that (1) questions on plate waste are added to
the Kitchen Manager Survey as part of the formative evaluatio (see
questions 53 and 54 in the SFA Director Survey (F)); and (2) the
average time estimated to complete each survey is added to each
survey instrument.

INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO EXAMINE
START-UP ACTIVITIES AND PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED DURING THE INITIAL
STAGES OF IMPLEMENTATION OF NUTRIENT STANDARD MENU PLANNING.
THIRTY-FOUR SCHOOL FOOD AUTHORITIES WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE
DEMONSTRATION AND EVALUATION OF THIS ALTERNATIVE TO THE CURRENT
NSLP MEAL PATTERN REQUIREMENT.
