contained in the proposed rule that underlies this request may lead
accreditors to establish duplicative systems for collecting a
maintaining information. In addition, if schools and studentsreport
t duplicative collection systems that are not consistent with one
anothe their burden in complying with information collection
requirements may not be minimized. -- ED is likely to receive
significant comment on issues of potentiall duplicative reporting
and retention requirements, along with substanti proposals for
alternative approaches. The information collection provisions in
final regulations will address these comments and concer in ways
that may substantially change the requirements proposed by the
NPRM.
