Abstract: P.L. 99-440 PROVIDES THAT THE USG WILL NOT PROVIDE CERTAIN EXPORT MARKETING SUPPORT TO U.S. FIRMS OPERATING IN SOUTH AFRICA UNLESS THEY REGISTER AND IMPLEMENT THE FAIR LABOR PRINCIPLES SPECIFIED IN SECTION 208 OF P.L. 99-440. THE APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION IS DESIGNED TO ENABLE THOSE FIRMS TO REGISTER WITH THE DEPARTMENT.
