AMERICAN YOUTH, AGES 16-24, THROUGH AN
ANNUAL TELEPHONE SURVEY, DESCRIBE ATTITUDES TOWARD AND KNOWLEDGE OF
MILITARY ENLISTMENT. DOD COMPONENTS USE THIS INFORMATION TO OBSERVE
TRENDS IN PROPENSITY TO ENLIST, TO PLAN RECRUITING EFFORTS AND
INCENTIVE PROGRAMS, TO ALLOCATE RECRUITING RESOURCES, TO PREPARE
CONGRESSIONAL TESTIMONY, AND FOR SPECIAL STUDIES.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
