MANY CORRECTIONS ADMINISTRATORS ARE
LOOKING AT BOOT CAMPS AS ALTERNATIVE SANCTIONS FOR NONVIOLENT
OFFENDERS. THIS PROJECT WILL PROVIDE INTERGOVERNMENTAL SHARING OF
INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR DEVELOPMENT, OPERATION, AND EVALUATION.
SOME 40 STATE AND LOCAL CORRECTIONS STAFF WILL RESPOND -- 1,000
STATE AND LOCAL CORRECTIONS STAFF WILL BENEFIT, 5,000 OFFENDERS
WILL BENEFIT.
