BE USED TO EVALUATE THE RELATIV RISK TO HUMAN HEALTH AND THE
ENVIRONMENT POSED BY ACTUAL OR THREATENED RELEASES OF HAZARDOUS
SUBSTANCES. UNIFORM APPLICATION OF THE REVISED HRS BY THE STATES
ENABLES EPA TO IDENTIFY AND LIST ON THE NATIONAL PRIORITIES LIST
SITES THAT WARRANT FURTHER INVESTIGATION.
