amended by NSF's memoranda to OMB of 5/30/91 and 6/5/91. addition,
NSF has agreed to the following conditions: -- NSF will monitor
responses to Q. 4, regarding disabilities, to determine if changes
to the subcategories should be made, especially t addition of
non-physical disability subcategories. -- If NSF's validation study
shows significant data quality problems, NSF will submit a
clearance package to OMB to perform a full-scale validation study.
-- NSF will monitor responses to Q. 18, regarding debt burden, to
determine if adjustments should be made to the subcategories due to
either increased debt levels over time or inflation. -- Q. 20 will
be revised with a clarifying addition to the question st of "for
employment or study" (NSF's 6/5 memo cited this change under Q
18).

FIVE FEDERAL AGENCIES FOR PROGRAM PLANNING, PROGRAM EVALUATION
POLICY, AND DATA DISSEMINATION. THESE DATA ARE ESPECIALLY USED TO
