this information collection request, as amended by ED's 5/29/91
memorandum to OMB. In addition, ED should note the following
conditions: -- ED has agreed to provide OMB with an information
copy of the survey of OBEMLA staff that will accompany the State
survey. -- ED should collect preliminary results of this sruvey as
soon as possible, and prepare an interim report by August 15, 1991
that presen data to inform the revision of OBEMLA's "Annual Survey
of Bilingual Education." This interim report should be disseminated
to the appropriate offices at ED and OMB who are involved in the
revision of that survey, which was withdrawn by ED March 28,
1991.

THE STUDY WILL ASSESS THE QUALITY,
COMPLETENESS, AND USEFULNESS OF DAT CURRENTLY COLLECTED BY SEAS
UNDER TITLE VII REQUIREMENTS, AS WELL AS T FEASIBILITY AND
