Abstract: THE CURRENT BLUEFIN TUNA PERMIT REQUIREMENT WILL BECOME ANNUAL. THE CURRENT PERMIT FILE CONTAINS 30,000 RECORDS, MANY OF WHICH ARE PRESUME TO BE INACTIVE. IT IS NECESSARY TO PURGE THESE FILES TO MAKE THE DATA MORE USEFUL FOR MANAGEMENT DECISION-MAKING.
