OMB approves
this information collection request for one year, in light of the
following concerns with which ED has agreed: o The 1992 Budget
proposes a policy change for homeless programs. I approved, these
forms would become obsolete. o The McKinney Act Amendments of 1990
(Section 612) require ED, HHS. and HUD to study the most effective
means of identifying and counting homeless children and youth. This
study, to be completed within the next year, will recommend
improvements in Federal-State data systems. Where appropriate, ED's
next revision of this form should reflect the study's
findings.
