DATA COLLECTED IN THIS SURVEY WILL BE
USED TO SUPPORT RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON THE PREVALENCE
OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE AMONG HOSPITAL
INPATIENTS AND ON THE IMPACT OF ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE ON HOSPITAL
USE AND COSTS. SAMPLED POPULATIONS ARE NON-FEDERAL HOSPITALS AND
ADULT PATIENTS ADMITTED TO THESE HOSPITALS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
