This ICR for
Indemnification Claims and Request for Federal Disposal is approved
for three years for products already suspended as of this date
(i.e. dinoseb, EDB, silvex). EPA must submit a new ICR with revised
forms for any additional active ingredients that are emergency
suspended. Before submitting subsequent ICRs, EPA shall undertake a
careful review of the existing form and make appropriate
modifications. EPA, a minimum, shall examine the following: (1)
whether blocks 5 to 10 can be consolidated into fewer, more logical
forms for distinct respondents (i.e. end user, distributor,
hybrid), (2) clarify the instructions to guide respondents to the
sections of the form they need to fill out, (3) determine if the
questions on disposal can be eliminated or reduced, (4) explain in
the instructions the purpose of the certification requirements, (5)
reestimate the burden per responde for the average claimant as well
as the range of burden expected, and (6) problems that have arisen
from past use of the form and how they m be avoided.
