This information
collection is approved until October, 1991. SSA will provide OMB
with a one-year interim report and final reports on the findings of
the Pain Instrument Development Studies. These reports are to
contain a status report on pain evaluation, in particular how this
study has affected the development, documentation, and assessment
of individual chronic pain on the ability to perform basic work
activities. In addition, the report should address the effects of
pain paperwork on overall disability allowance and denial
rates.

THE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THESE
FORMS WILL BE USED BY THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (SSA) TO
DEVELOP FINAL INFORMATION COLLECTION FORMS WHICH WILL BE USED

CONNECTION WITH HIS OR HER DISABILITY. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC WILL
CONSIST OF THE STATE DISABILITY DETERMINATION SERVICES AGENCIES WHO
WILL REVIEW THIS INFORMATION AND SELECTED INDIVIDUALS.
