Abstract: U.S. FISHERMEN WHO WISH TO FISH IN THE SOVIET ECONOMIC ZONE MUST APPLY FOR A SOVIET PERMIT. THE APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED TO NMFS FOR TRANSIMITTAL TO SOVIET AUTHORITIES. THE SOVIET AUTHORITIES WILL CONSIDER THE INFORMATION WHEN MAKING A DECISION ON ISSUING A PERMIT.
