Terms of Clearance: Approved for 30 days with the following conditions. HUD's response to OMB's last "remarks" for this information collection does not make sense. If HUD had reviewed OMB's remarks carefully, it would have realized that we objected to the "statistical questions" contained on the 93101-A form largely because they were duplicative of questions on the 93101 form. Consequently, HUD's proposed revisions to the 93101-A form are not sufficient. HUD must further revise this form to eliminate the questions regarding family type (item c-2), age of head (c-3), and sex of head (c-4). These questions are duplicative of questions 6-b, 6-c, and 6-d on the 93101 form. In addition, HUD's request to reduce this information collection's burden is not approved. Although the elimination of reporting requirements will decrease the collection's burden, HUD should provide a precise indication of how much the burden is expected to decrease as a result of the revised reporting requirements. We doubt that these changes will reduce the burden on the public by over 50 percent, as your revised burden estimate indicates.
