EMERGENCY CARE PROVIDERS ARE KNOWN TO
BE EXPOSED TO LARGE VOLUMES OF BLOOD. IN ADDITION, THE POPULATIONS
WHO RECEIVE EMERGENCY CARE ARE KNOWN IN SOME AREAS TO HAVE A
PARTICULARLY HIGH VOLUME OF HIV INFECTION. IN ORDER TO DETERMINE
THE RISK OF INFECTION AMONG EMERGENCY CARE PROVIDERS, THE TYPE OF
EXPOSURES, THE PRECAUTIONS AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BE OBSERVED
AND RECORDED THROUGH AN INTERVIEW. THE
