Approved for six
months with the following condition. In the next submission of this
information collection for OMB review, HUD must indicate whether
the information being collected on form 5460 could be collected
through less burdensome alternatives and whether this information
unnecessarily duplicates information already being collected by
HUD. That is, could this information be collected by PHAs simply
providing copies of applications for private insurance (which they
presumably must complete anyway and would include similar
information) to HUD? Also, if this information is being collected
for newly-constructed projects, why is not the information
regarding project characteristics already available to HUD through
its detailed reporting requirements for project development?
