Terms of Clearance: In accordance with E.O. No. 12291 review and approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act, the information collection is approved for use through February 1989. The USDA Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) should review the instructions to see if a reduction in burden can be achieved through simplification of the general instructions and individual forms' instructions. The reduction and simplification of preparing and processing FmHA loan applications will be one of the subjects for the Information Collection Budget meeting to be scheduled later in September. The FmHA will review the uses for which the information is collected to determine if all the information is required. Particular attention should be given to assuring that all the information requested is indeed, first, relevant to evaluate the risk and feasibility of the individual loan proposals and, second, that all duplicative information is eliminated.

Abstract: THIS REGULATION PRESCRIBES THE POLICIES AND PROCEDUR FOR RECEIVING AND PROCESSING FARM OWNERSHIP, SOIL AND WATER, OPERATING EMERGENCY RURAL RENTAL HOUSING, RURAL COOPERATIVE HOUSING, RURAL HOUSI SITE, LABOR HOUSING, AND INSURED SECTION 502 AND 504 RURAL HOUSING LOA AND GRANT APPLICATIONS. REGULATION ALSO PRESCRIBES THE POLICIES FOR INFORMING APPLICANTS AND OTHER INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS ABOUT THE SERVIC OF FMHA.
