We have cleared
this collection of information for four months in order to allow
additional time for interagency coordination on information
collected in the course of fatality/catastrophe reporting and
follow-up fatality investigations. These reports and investigations
represent a unique opportunity to gather primary evidence on the
causes of workplace fatalities. It is important that the Federal
resources used to collect this information yield information of
maximum use to the collecting agency and to other Federal agencies
who could use these data for occupational safety research.
