Abstract: FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS SOMETIMES REQUESTS U.S. IMPORTERS OF STRATEGIC COMMODITIES TO SUPPLY THEM WITH PROOF THAT THE COMMODITIES SHIPPED TO THE U.S. WERE NOT DIVERTED FROM THEIR INTENDED DESTINATION AND WERE IN FACT ACTUALLY IMPORTED INTO THE U.S. THE U.S. IMPORTER THEN FURNISHES HIS FOREIGN SUPPLIER WITH A CERTIFIED U.S. DELIVERY VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE COVERING THE COMMODITIES.
