Abstract: ALL NATIONAL BANKS ARE REQUIRED TO NOTIFY OCC OF THEIR INTENT TO UNDERTAKE PURCHASE AND SALE OF FUTURE CONTRACTS AND FORWARD PLACEMENT CONTRACTS. THEY ARE ALSO ADVISED TO MAINTAIN RECORDS PERMITTING THEM AND OCC EXAMINERS TO VERIFY THAT SUCH ACTIVITY DOES NOT ENDANGER THE SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS OF THOSE BANKS.
