THE PROPOSED RULE WOULD REQUIRE STATE
AGENCIES ADMINISTERING THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR
WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC) TO REPORT QUARTERLY THE NUMBER OF
PERSONS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM BY CATEGORY AND NUTRITIONAL
RISK PRIORITY GROUP. EXISTING REGULATIONS REQUIRE SEMIANNUAL
REPORTING ON PERSONS ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM. THE REVISION IS
NECESSARY TO OBTAIN MORE ACCURATE, REPRESENTATIVE DATA FOR
USE
