Abstract: THE U.S. CODE REQUIRES THAT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PRACTICABLE THE GOVERNMENT SOLICIT COMPETING PRICE AND/OR TECHNICAL PROPOSALS FROM INTERESTED PARTIES TO PROVIDE GOODS AND SERVICES AS DESCRIBED IN RESPECTIVE SOLICITATION. CLEARANCE IS SOUGHT FOR AGENCY PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES WHICH REQUIRE VENDOR RESPONSES TO INVITATION FOR BIDS, REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS AND REQUESTS FOR QUOTATIONS.
