Abstract: THE DEPARTMENT IS REQUIRED TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE AIRLINE DEREGULATION ACT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OF JOBS OR WAGES BY CERTAIN AIRLINE EMPLOYEES. AN APPLICATION BY AN ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEE (WHO MIGHT OBTAIN COMPENSATION) FOR SUCH DETERMINATION IS NECESSARY TO INITIATE OUR INVESTIGATION PROCEEDINGS.
