In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320 the census
questionnaire on Sources and Consequences of Undercount is approved
on the condition that questions 1,2 and 3 are deleted. Census has
not demonstrated the practical utility for items 1,2 and 3.
Moreover, presenting respondents with erroneous statements about
uses of census data risks diminishing their confidence and
confidentiality of these data and thus their cooperation in the
1990 census.
