TSCA REQUIRES BUSINESSES TO NOTIFY EPA
90 DAYS PRIOR TO (A) THE MANUFACTURER OR IMPORT OF A NEW CHEMICAL
SUBSTANCE OR (B) A SIGNIFICAN NEW USE OF AN EXISTING CHEMICAL
SUBSTANCE. EPA EVALUATES THE EFFECTS OF THE CHEMICAL ON HUMAN
HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT AS REPORTED IN THE NOTIFICATION. IF THE
AGENCY TAKES NO REGULATORY ACTION WITHIN 90 DAYS OF THE RECEIPT OF
NOTIFICATION, THE APPLICANT MAY MANUFACTURE OR
