THE IMMIGRATION REFORM AND CONTROL ACT
OF 1986, P.L. 99-603 PROVIDES FOR CERTAIN ALIENS TO APPLY FOR
TEMPORARY RESIDENT STATUS IN THE U.S. AND UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS
APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS.
