Abstract: IMPORT DATA WILL HELP COOPERATIVES IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE SOURCES TO LOWER FARM INPUT COSTS. MARKETING COOPERATIVES AND COOPERATIVE SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS WILL USE THIS DATA TO PROMOTE TRADE WITH COOPERATIVES AND DEVELOP EXPO MARKETING STRATEGIES, EXPECIALLY THOSE INVOLVING COUNTERTRADE. WITH COOPERATIVE EXPORT DATA COLLECTED IN 1985, ACS CAN EVALUATE POLICY ALTERNATIVES, INCLUDING THOSE PROPOSED AT GATT, AND THEIR IMPACT ON
