THE ECONOMIC CENSUSES, CONDUCTED UND
PROVISIONS OF TITLE 13, USC, SECTION 131, CONSTITUTE THE PRIMARY
SOURC OF FACTS ABOUT THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONING OF A LARGE
SEGMENT OF THE ECONOMY AND PROVIDE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR
GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS, AN THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THEY PROVIDE AN
IMPORTANT PART OF THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE NATIONAL ACCOUNTS AND SERVE
AS BENCHMARKS FOR ECONOMIC INDICATORS.
