Approval for a
one year extension of the existing information collection
requirement is granted to allow the agencies sufficient time to
revise these portions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
and subject to the following conditions in preparing requests for
approval beyond this interim approval: (1) Separate requests for
approval should be submitted in the future for each of the FAR
parts covered by this clearance. (2) In Part 27, pay careful
attention to t the development of a definition of "developed a
private expense" that considers the extent of private funding as
required by Public Law Number 98-577. (3) In Part 27, ensure that
any exclusive data rights acquired by or reserved to the government
are limited in both their current extent and future use to the
minimum required to perform agency missions. (4) Provide a more
detailed explanation of the basis for estimating the reporting
burden.
