SECTIONS 507(B), 508(A), AND 516(B) OF
P.L. 95-87 REQUIRES APPLICANTS FOR UNDERGROUND MINE PERMITS TO
PROVIDE A DESCRIPTION OF EACH EXISTING STRUCTURE PROPOSED TO BE
USED IN THE MINING OR RECLAMATION OPERATION AND A COMPLIANCE PLAN
FOR STRUCTURES PROPOSED TO BE MODIFIED OR CONSTRUCTED FOR USE IN
THE OPERATION. THIS INFORMATION IS USED BY THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY
IN DETERMINING IF THE APPLICANT CAN COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE
PERFORMANCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS.
