Abstract: THIS AMENDMENT PERMITS A PLAN ADMINISTRATOR TO USE AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF DEMONSTRATING SUFFICIENCY OF A TERMINATING PLAN. IT REDUCES REPORTING REQUIREMENTS BY ALLOWING AN ENROLLED ACTUARY TO CERTIFY THAT REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE IV AND THE REGULATIONS ARE MET. IT ALSO EXPANDS AN EMPLOYER'S RIGHT TO PAY SUMS NEEDED TO MAKE A PLAN SUFFICIENT.
